COMMUNITY LT. JOHN “J.J.” JONES of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has been named Deputy of the Year by the S.C. Sheriffs’ Association. Jones, of Gilbert, serves as assistant commander of the Region II Patrol District, based in Pelion. He earned the Sheriff’s Department Meritorious Conduct Medal in 2007 and has been nominated for the Sheriff’s Department Lifesaving Award. Jones has ...... read more
